PATRICK J. O’DONNELL is a street sergeant with a metropolitan police department. He’s also the author of the COPS AND WRITERS series of books, the first of which is out now and getting rave reviews from the author and screenwriter communities.
As a technical consultant for crime and police procedure, he’s passionate about helping storytellers write more authentic—and accurate—crime stories. Patrick could’ve stopped at using personal anecdotes to inform his nonfiction works, but he wanted to get the details right, so he also reached out to law enforcement officials around the country to help round out his book as one of the leading resources on day-to-day police life.
This combination of expertise and eye for detail also makes him a miserable casual television companion for watching the latest hot police procedurals on TV, at least according to his wife…
