Two months after I went full-time with writing, my wife decided she was going to leave her job to be with our young kids. And it was like, “Oh crap, now it’s all resting on my shoulders.”
Of course the anxiety starts creeping in and I’m feeling if I don’t write today, my kids are going to die. Which is never true, but that’s what anxiety tells people.
I have a lot of irons in the fire, because I’m more than an author. I’m a creative. The only downside? It’s easy to get overwhelmed and fall back into old patterns.
