Alison Stine is a novelist and freelance journalist who has written for the likes of The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Guardian.
Growing up in rural Ohio with a hearing impairment, Alison turned to reading and telling her own stories as a way of staying involved. In the process of reading, she realized that the stories where she came from weren’t getting out into the mainstream. She decided to help fill that gap with her own work.
Fast forward to today in the era of lockdown, and Alison is balancing her roles as a mother and full-time writer. Splitting her time between fiction and freelance projects, she writes to help people feel comfortable and less alone.
